Anola Douglas
Originally from Maryland, Anola Douglas is currently in her 20th year of music education. She is the choir director at River Bend Middle School in Sterling, VA. Anola received her Bachelor of Science in Music Education at Elon University, where she studied piano. She also has a Masters in Education Administration.
Anola’s choirs consistently receive Superior ratings at District Choral Assessment and Superior ratings and Grand Champion awards at competitions. She regularly has students accepted into honors choirs, including the Virginia Middle School All State Chorus. In addition to teaching, Anola mentors and creates resources and curriculum for other middle school chorus teachers through her platform, Choir With Anola.
Anola is also the Artistic Director for the Stafford County Regional Choral Society in Stafford, VA. She regularly guest conducts middle school honors choirs, clinic middle and high school choirs and adjudicates district assessments throughout Virginia and Maryland. Anola lives in Chantilly, VA with her husband and cat, Coda.
